In order to achieve an improved result, the water to be energized should be physically cleaned beforehand. This works best by distillation or reverse osmosis. There are devices in comprehensive designs and price ranges to buy in the trade. 

Reverse osmosis removes all physical components (e.g. microplasics, pesticides, hormones, heavy metals, etc.) from the water. 

Disadvantage: The energetic information is not removed from the water and is even additionally impregnated with the information of the plastic osmosis membrane.
