Every piece is made individually, by hand over several days. For this reason dimensions, weight and appearance differ slightly from one piece to the next. Fine lines and veins appear on many surfaces; no two pieces are exactly alike.

Materials

What the objects are made of

The base material
The objects are made of a mineral material, with rock crystal or with shungite depending on the version. Without lacquer they show this base material: white with rock crystal, grey to black with shungite.

Rock crystal
Rock crystal is colourless, clear quartz. In the white version it is part of the base material.

Shungite
Shungite is a carbon-rich rock from Karelia in north-western Russia, named after the village of Shunga on Lake Onega. It gives the dark version its colour.

Silver and gold
The silver and gold versions are lacquered. The same base material lies under the lacquer.
